New Community Tap: Ozarks Literacy Council Reading Rainbow IPA
At Springfield Brewing Company (SBC), our Community Tap is our way to give back to our local community the best way we know possible – through beer!
Springfield Brewing Company is proud to be partnering with Ozarks Literacy Council for the next Community Tap beer. Their mission seeks to unlock the life-changing power of literacy for every willing learner. Formed in 1968, this local charity promotes literacy in Southwest Missouri by offering free one-on-one tutoring and a variety of literacy programs. They continue to serve the literacy needs of our community by offering three programs. A portion of proceeds from this beer will be donated for the benefit of Ozarks Literacy Council and their mission.
Together through this collaboration, we hope to make small changes in the world today, that make huge changes to our future.

Mission
Ozarks Literacy Council seeks to unlock the life-changing power of literacy for every willing learner.
Vision
Formed in 1968, this local charity promotes literacy in Southwest Missouri by offering free one-on-one tutoring and a variety of literacy programs.
They continue to serve the literacy needs of our community by offering three programs. Their main program of one-on-one literacy tutoring educated 193 students in 2018 alone. They have generous volunteers that read to 32 local Springfield preschool classrooms and sent a new book home with each child. Their social advocacy keeps them engaged in the community through public events such as Neighborhood Night Out, Juneteenth, Backpack programs and more.
The Beer:
Classic West Coast IPA format that pushed craft beer to the main-stream. Clean, mild malt character with a pronounced hop aroma, flavor, and bitterness.
