The Ghost of the Colonial Hotel is a one-of-a-kind, never-to-be-repeated limited release bourbon blend that tells the origin story of Route 66. A blend of 8 barrels, each representing a chapter in Ty Iechyd Da’s whiskey story since its founding in 2020. It covers the whole scope of our Distillery’s whiskey production in one blend: House distilled, aged in-house, and specialty cask finishes all combine to create a whiskey of deep and complex character.
From a quiet basement in the Colonial Hotel in Springfield, MO, a single telegram sparked a legend. This specialty Bourbon honors the very moment on April 30, 1926, when the Mother Road was born and her 2,448-mile road was officially named Route 66.

BOURBON BLEND
A blend of aged versions of Lost Hollow Bourbon and Day Trekker Bourbon, with house distilled Bourbon aged in barrels from Independent Stave Company (Lebanon, MO) and McGinnis Cooperage (Cuba, MO), as well as Bourbon finished in Brandy and Orange Brandy Casks.
The hotel no longer stands, but its ghost lives on in this bottle.
