Home Brewery Tour The Brewers Cool Beer Stuff

Springfield Brewing is the proud home of Mueller Ales & Lagers!

Our brewing philosophy is quite simple - brew a wide variety of the best tasting beers possible and satisfy the tastes of our local market.
  To date this philosophy has produced award winning beers and a wonderful local following of our beers.

At the 2006 GABF in Denver we won a medal for our best selling beer, Mueller Unfiltered Wheat, for the third time and picked up a gold for our Mueller Hefe Weizen!  2004 was also a good year at the GABF as we won a repeat medal for our #1 selling beer, Mueller Unfiltered Wheat, and our great selling Mueller Lager!  Stop by the brewery or pick up one of these great beers at Springfield area stores like Price Cutter or Brown Derby Liquor for a taste of Springfield Brewing has to offer!

Unfiltered Wheat

OG = 11.25° Plato    IBU = 15 Bitterness Units

Our lightest and most popular beer.  Unfiltered Wheat is brewed with a combination of malted barley and wheat and gently hopped in the kettle to give a subtle, spicy bitterness.  Light and refreshing, this beer is well paired with chicken, pasta, seafood and salads.

Pale Ale

OG = 12.5° Plato    IBU = 25 Bitterness Units

The hoppiest of our house beers and the hands-down favorite of our staff.  This orange-hued ale has the characteristic  citrusy aroma of Cascade hops and the slight fruitiness of our house ale yeast balanced by well-rounded malt flavors from caramel and pale malted barleys.

Munich Lager

OG = 11.5° Plato    IBU = 23 Bitterness Units

Golden-colored lager reminiscent of the pale lagers popular in the Bavarian region of Germany.  Malty, toasty flavors derived from a blend of Munich and two-row barley malts are balanced by a careful blend of hops to give this beer a complex palate and exceptional drinkabiltiy.  A nice complement to any dish or conversation.

Black Sheep

Black sheep is our family of dark and tasty specialty beers that changed our Porter from one of our standard beers to a member of the Black Sheep flock.  Other Black Sheep beers include our Dry Stout, Mudhouse Stout, Bull Creek Brown and our Milk Stout.  Be on the lookout as we had more new dark beers to the flock!

Seasonal Specialty

A quarterly special brewed beer crafted to complement the four seasons.  Look for Kölsch during spring, Hefe Weizen during summer, Märzen in the fall (Oktoberfest season) and our Doppel Bock in the winter.

Brewmaster's Special

An ever-changing offering of ales and lagers brewed to celebrate the diversity of beers around the world.  Ask your server about our current offerings on tap.
